Last Few Spaces for Kickstart 6 – Will You Be There?

We are a little over a week away from Kickstart 6 – the Royal Amiga BBQ – taking place on Saturday 21st June 2025 at our regular venue of Ottershaw Village Hall in Ottershaw, Surrey.

We sold out of table places at the beginning of the year, but have a couple of non-table places still available if you would like to join us. Details on our tickets page.

Doors open at 9am. We have the hall until 9pm, which means we will start breaking down at 8pm at the very latest (but often this happens a bit earlier as many people people decide to wrap up and pop to the Miller and Carter pub and restaurant across the road).

What’s Happening?

This will be an all-day user group meet up. It’s a chance for us to do all things Amiga – fix them, play games, show how to use different pieces of software and hardware, use them, show them off, talk about them – whatever you want to do.

Gaming

We will be doing a high score games tournament using Pinball Dreams – There will be a trophy for the winner.

Machine of the Meet

We’ll be giving a trophy to the most interesting, eye catching or compelling trash-to-treasure machine at the meet.

BBQ

It’s that time of the year again, so lunch will be in the form of a BBQ – we’ll be firing up the grills at lunchtime with a selection of burgers, sausages, chicken and other barbecue delights!

Traders

Digital Retro Bay

Dominik Dytrych from Digital Retro Bay will be joining us, with a range of Amiga upgrades including the legendary GoDrive floppy drive emulator (that lets you retain your internal floppy drive as well as having an internal GoDrive), keyboard membranes and games controllers.

David Pleasance

David Pleasance, Commodore’s former UK MD, will be joining us at the meet. David will have his latest book available for sale and signing, as well as his previous books and will be able to share more about his upcoming new book Dare to Dream, a look at what could have been with Commodore. David will also be bringing a range of Commodore and Amiga merchandise for sale as well.
